GAMBA ARMY - SITE INFO

SITE - PINE FORREST

The Gamba Army has been busy over the last month, dodging the rain and making the most of the recent dry spell to spray gamba grass across a number of sites in the greater Darwin and rural area.

The team has been working at the Pine Forest on Howard Springs Road. This Vacant Crown Land (VCL) site is a valued recreational area used by mountain bikers and runners, and tackling gamba here will minimise spread onto adjoining private land and the nearby Howard Springs Nature Reserve.

The work has been undertaken in collaboration with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics and builds on the significant work already being undertaken on VCL sites.

Below are before and after spraying shots. With further follow-up spray to come.

Geoff Fox cycled past to share his appreciation for the efforts of the Gamba Army. Thanks Geoff!
