Territory Natural Resource Management (TNRM) recognises the vital role of Indigenous organisations and ranger groups in managing land and sea country across the Northern Territory. We are committed to supporting the long term capacity of Indigenous people and organisations to continue this work, and to finding new opportunities for Indigenous people to further develop their skills and experience in NRM.

TNRM’s Indigenous Traineeship Program was created in 2014 and combines work and structured training to provide nationally recognised qualifications and skills that will equip indigenous trainees with the necessary skills to work in the Natural Resource Management industry.

In May 2014, TNRM signed on our first trainee to this program. In July 2016 we reported on the program's successes so far. We will continue to develop opportunities for additional trainees over the coming years.
