KNOWLEDGE, CAPACITY AND ENGAGEMENT
Natural resource management draws on diverse types of land management knowledge including scientific, Indigenous and community-based knowledge. TNRM supports the sharing of best-practice advice as well as techniques, technologies and
information that support sustainable natural resource management activities.
MONITORING DOMESTIC CATS IN ALICE SPRINGS
Feral cats are a key threatening process to ecosystem health in the McDonnell Ranges bioregion. The project collected spatial data from domestic cats in an effort to showcase their movements and roaming activity to owners to encourage behaviour change.
INDIGENOUS NRM TRAINEE PROGRAM
TNRM recognises the vital role of Indigenous organisations and ranger groups in managing land and sea country across the Northern Territory. TNRM is committed to supporting the long-term capacity of Indigenous people and organisations to continue this work, and to finding new opportunities for Indigenous people to further develop their skills and experience in NRM.
