ABOUT THE NRM PLAN
Territory Natural Resource Management (TNRM) is the regional organisation responsible for planning, coordinating and facilitating natural resource management activities across the entire Northern Territory.
Following the review of the 2016-2020 NRM plan, we have been working closely with diverse stakeholders to develop a plan that will address emerging NRM opportunities and challenges for the next five years.
THE CONSULTATION DRAFT- 2021-2025 NT NRM Plan
The Consultation Draft for the next iteration Northern Territory NRM Plan (2021-2025) builds upon the approach and structure developed through intensive community consultations in 2016 and upon the lessons we have learned through that earlier plan’s implementation. The Consultation Draft also reflects our evolving knowledge of natural resource conditions and trends.

The Consultation Draft provides a framework to enable input and comments from the wider Territory community. We are exhibiting the document online and opening it for comment and submissions until the end of August.

NT NRM PLAN REVIEW 2021
During the 2020 calender year, Territory NRM undertook widespread consultations with NRM partners and stakeholders across the Territory, culminating in technical working group meetings in the final months of 2020. Through this process, the Territory NRM team implemented the second and final review of the Northern Territory NRM plan (2016-2020). By doing so, TNRM is delivering on its commitment to adaptively manage the Northern Territory NRM plan and maintain it as a ‘live’ and responsive document.
Once again, approximately 200 individuals contributed to the review of the plan. The review process has demonstrated the power of collaboration across diverse community groups, agencies, industries and stakeholder institutions. The review highlights key lessons learned and the progress made towards achievement of NRM plan targets. Building an essential foundation for planning action and priorities for the next five years (2021-2025).
