GAMBA ARMY - SITE INFO

16 MILE WWII

The World War 2 Camp 16 Mile at Palmerston is a valued heritage area and includes a number of scenic paths and 'silhouetted soldiers' keeping watch.

The Gamba Army joined these 'soldiers' to spray Gamba grass across a site with relatively minor infestations of the invasive weed, in an effort to keep a 'clean area clean' and protect a valued asset.

This site is a Vacant Crown Land block. The Gamba Army are working in collaboration with the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics, and in collaboration with NT Parks and Wildlife.
