CHARLES DARWIN NATIONAL PARK

CDNP is a hidden oasis of serenity ‘getting back to the bush’ near the heart of Darwin city. It has one of the best views of the city skyline, has significant WW2 heritage, and has high recreational value with an array of mountain bike and walking trails.

It is a relatively intact natural habitat with high ecological diversity, including mangroves, paperbark swamps, woodlands and creek systems, as well as evidence of Aboriginal shell middens. This Park has numerous assets, making it a valuable site to protect from gamba grass invasion.

The Gamba Army will build on existing efforts from NTG Parks and Wildlife, and DIPL and Land Development Corporation on adjoining tenures.
